I think it is about finding the right high-school. I am sure there are people out there with wonderful memories of high school.

One clear memory of mine from high school is me reading books while everyone else was busy studying for the big exam. I remember being super shy (and still am), but I found out later that many people thought I was arrogant. I wish we had all spoken out our insides and come to terms with it back then to avoid any misunderstandings about each other (I guess that’s the same in any part of one’s life).

Zeynep, How did you avoid taking that dreadful nationwide university acceptance exam (OSYM)?

Didn’t avoid it, but didn’t care too much either. Plus, my score was more related to the foreign language test (and reading books helped me there). :)
