Babies have to be cute because they need somebody who can take care of them. It is amazing that this rule applies to a fly larvae who appears to be a cute baby bug.
I think the same way about that often mentioned “motherly” feeling and how suddenly a woman is captured by it while pregnant or right after the labor. Or else it’s really hard to explain how one human would/could sacrifice so much for another. Those hormones!
